Use our wall panel calculator to enter the width and height of your wall and estimate the number of panels required for your project.

Installation

The Flexible Acoustic Slat Wall Panel is designed for straightforward installation by a confident DIYer or professional installer, on flat or curved walls.

Step 1 – Measure: Measure the width and height of the area where you would like to install your wall panels. Use the Wall&Co. wall panel calculator to estimate the number of panels required.

Step 2 – Plan: Plan the position of the first and final panels before installation. Consider the location of plug points, switches, televisions, shelves, mirrors and artwork before beginning. On curved walls, dry-fit the panel first to check how it follows the curve.

Step 3 – Prepare: Ensure that the wall is clean, dry, level and free from loose paint, dust, grease or debris.

Step 4 – Cut: Cut the panels to the required length using a circular saw or a normal hand saw. Support the panel securely while cutting and always measure carefully before making any cuts.

Step 5 – Fix: Mount the panels to the wall with Ultra Mount High-Tack Adhesive applied to the back of the panel according to the adhesive instructions, or fix them with screws.

Step 6 – Position: Position the first panel carefully and use a level to ensure that it is straight. Press the panel firmly against the wall, working it gently around any curve so the backing sits flush along its full length.

Step 7 – Continue: Continue installing the panels alongside one another, checking regularly that they remain straight and correctly aligned.

Important: Always wear appropriate eye protection and safety equipment when cutting and installing the panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this panel flexible?
The MDF slats are mounted on a flexible acoustic PET fibre pad rather than a rigid board, so the panel can bend to follow curved walls, columns and rounded features.

How is it different from the Acoustic Slat Wall Panel?
The Flexible Acoustic Slat Wall Panel has a flexible backing for curved surfaces, a slimmer 17 mm profile and a PVC film finish in Blonde Oak or Walnut. Our standard Acoustic Slat Wall Panel has a rigid backing, a 21 mm profile and a real wood veneer finish, and is designed for flat walls.

What does an NRC rating of 0.8 mean?
NRC stands for Noise Reduction Coefficient and measures how effectively a material absorbs sound. An NRC rating of 0.8 means the panel absorbs an average of approximately 80% of the sound energy that reaches it across the frequencies included in the test. This helps reduce echo and reverberation and can make a room feel acoustically calmer and more comfortable.

Will the panels soundproof my room?
No. Acoustic panels help absorb reflected sound within a room, reducing echo and reverberation. They are not designed to completely soundproof a space or prevent sound from passing through walls, floors or ceilings.

What size is each panel?
Each panel measures 300 × 2700 × 17 mm. Each panel covers approximately 0.81 m².

How many panels will I need?
Use the Wall&Co. wall panel calculator and enter your wall measurements to estimate the number of panels required. We recommend allowing an additional 10% for cutting, fitting and wastage.

What colours are available?
The Flexible Acoustic Slat Wall Panel is available in Blonde Oak and Walnut.

Are the panels waterproof?
No. The panels should not be cleaned with water and should not be installed in bathrooms, showers or other areas exposed to direct water or persistent moisture. For waterproof applications, consider Wall&Co. HDPS or PVC Wall Panels.

Can I install the panels myself?
Yes. The panels are designed for installation by a confident DIYer using Ultra Mount High-Tack Adhesive or screws. If you are unsure about cutting, wall preparation or installation on a curved surface, we recommend using an experienced installer.

Can the panels be cut to size?
Yes. The panels can be cut to the required length using a circular saw or a normal saw. Always measure carefully and wear the appropriate safety equipment when cutting.

Which adhesive should I use?
We recommend Ultra Mount High-Tack Adhesive. The panels can also be fixed with screws. Always ensure the wall is clean, dry and properly prepared before installation.

Can I hang a mirror, television, shelf or artwork over the panels?
Yes, provided the item is securely fixed through the panel and into the appropriate wall structure behind it. The acoustic panel should not be used as the structural fixing point for heavy objects.

How do I clean the panels?
Clean the panels using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment or a clean, dry cloth. Do not clean the panels with water or a wet cloth.

Will the colour look exactly like the images online?
We make every effort to represent our products as accurately as possible. Lifestyle images are provided for inspiration and may include styled or digitally created room settings. Colours and finishes may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, room lighting and surrounding décor.

Quality & Craftsmanship

Every Wall&Co. wall panel has been carefully selected to combine contemporary design with dependable quality.

The Flexible Acoustic Slat Wall Panel features slim MDF slats with a PVC film finish, mounted on a flexible, sound-absorbing PET fibre pad. The flexible backing allows the panel to bend and follow curved surfaces, so you can create flowing feature walls and wrapped columns that a rigid panel cannot.

The PET fibre backing helps absorb reflected sound and reduce unwanted echo, making these panels a practical way to introduce warmth, texture and acoustic comfort without the disruption of a major renovation.

Choosing the Right Acoustic Panel

Choose the Flexible Acoustic Slat Wall Panel when you want the look and sound comfort of a slatted acoustic wall on a curved or rounded surface – such as a curved wall, column, bulkhead or reception counter. It works equally well on flat walls where a slimmer 17 mm profile is preferred.

For flat walls where you would like a real wood veneer finish or a Charcoal option, see our Acoustic Slat Wall Panel.

Blonde Oak brings a light, natural timber look with a soft, Scandinavian-inspired feel. It pairs beautifully with white and soft grey walls, linen textures, light timber furniture, natural stone, greenery and brushed brass or matte black accents.

Walnut introduces warmth and a rich, timber-inspired finish. It pairs beautifully with warm neutrals, leather, cream fabrics, greenery, black accents and soft ambient lighting.

Styling Tip

Wrap the panels around a curved wall or column to create a flowing, sculptural feature that draws the eye, or run them along a curved reception counter or bar front for a seamless finish.

Add a concealed LED strip at the top or base of a curved panel run to highlight the slats and create a soft, ambient glow.

Pair Blonde Oak with crisp white walls, soft neutrals and natural textures for a bright, airy Scandinavian-inspired look.

Pair Walnut with warm neutrals, natural textures and greenery for an inviting interior.
